I love this school. My niece attends this school form K - 3 and she is now going to 4th grade. My niece is on the Principal's list. This school encourages participation from all students. Your child learns to love themselves and be confident. My niece was tested with other grade level students from public and private schools and she was placed in an advanced class for summer camp. Parent involvement is crucial to any child's education. It cannot be done alone at school. I also love that they offer extracurricular activities.

The only sport here is basketball. Some teachers teach really well, however many of them just give you a worksheet and tell you to hand it in after class and that's all. You can tell which teachers are really dedicated and which aren't. This school isn't quite there yet but I am sure in time it would be a good school.

I have 2 children is this school a 3rd grader and a Kindergartner while the school seems to educate well. There discpline and structure could use a massive overhaul. I would never allow my youngest to even enter the auditorium for arrival or dismissal as it is a madhouse. There is apparently very little supervision during these times, that parents are around which leaves me to ponder what it must be like at other times. Lunchtime must be a very chaotic time in this school. As for the teaching aspect straight a's across the board, my children are learning at such a high rate. I must credit there teachers for a wonderful job done.

. As far as i have been in this school, i hadn't had to fight through a class but just do my work and not mingle with anyone that is not doing their work. The school also offers internships which is great for students in medical and business and law.

I have taught at PS 30 for a number of years and I am happy to say that the appointed principal, Dwayne Crowder, has made outstanding improvements in his short time here. The discipline that had previously fallen to the wayside has improved. Student achievement is on the rise, and parents are invited to the school on a regular basis to bridge the gap between school and home. Mr. Crowder is a positive role model for all students who attend this school. On a typical day he is seen throughout the building interacting with students, teachers, and parents. If there is garbage on the floor, he will be the first one to pick it up. The morale of teachers is on the rise as well. I am excited to be a part of a school on the upswing.

This school has hardworking teachers. The staff is dedicated but there needs to be more programs to enhance the overall development of the students. The curriculum should be more diversified to cater to the needs of the students.

The teachers are okay, they do not assign enough h.w. and the curriculum is not challenging. They do have a excellent parent teacher coordinator,Ms. Santana that is totally helpful. They also do not have enough options for after-school programs

I LOVE P.S. 80. Both of my children attended P.S.80. My son (now 16) came to this school in the 3rd grade from a private school. He was being taught on a different learning structure however he adjusted well with the help and guidance of his teacher Ms. Mannigault. He excelled socially as well. My daughter came from a very loving, yet coddled Pre-school/ Kindergarten environment. It was rough the first 2 weeks with out getting hugs and being called Princess everyday but she adjusted and did well in the 1st grade. My heart belongs to her second grade teacher Ms. Leacock. I love that Lady. She was able to teach, form and mold greatness and still be very loving toward the children in her class. My daughter LOVES her. I also admire greatly Mrs. Glenn - Principle. She expects and strive for excellence with her staff and students. Also Mr. Aquino is an excellent asset to the school. P.S. 80 is an excellent choice for educating your child.
