I love this school your kids and especially you will love this school there are good after school activities and sports. the teachers are excellent and the students are great and well desciplined and the rules are enforced not like some other schools my kids have been to! trust me from a parent that knows this school and the other schools in Beacon are terrific! Trust me your kids will love just like my kids are loving it!

I attended J.V. Forrestal as a little kid. I am a Forrestal Falcon. No words can describe your home school as a little kid. The teachers were very nice, several could be strict, but they taught you how to be respectful, your hands behind your back while walking formally in the hallways, you didn't talk in the hallways, you walked single-file or double-file depending on the situation. The teachers were very good. I can still faintly remember some of the very good examples that helped me learn english and other things. There was lots of time with the class as a whole. In Kindergarten, we went on field trips to Beacon& other places. We got to see our little city doing different things. There were various other activities we did. Forrestal did a great job with family events and the staff is wonderful. Was moved to Sargent. Nothing like J.V.

It is not realy like one of the great schools in the state of new york. It is like any other public middle school. It has all of the great teachers working for it.

I think Sargent is a great place to learn and make friends. The staff is qualified and friendly. The principal is a good listener and works with the parents when possible. The PTO is involved and brightens the school experience with extra activities or things for the students/staff. My son has been there for 2 yrs and my daughter starts in Sept.

My son has been in attendance for the last two years at South Avenue School. Over these two years I have seen considerable growth in my child. His reading level has increased approximately 4 levels. His concentration skills have improved and in turn his test scores have improved.
