St. John's is a wonderful school which provides small classes and individualized instruction to meet each student's needs. I have read some of the negative reviews and I totally disagree. I have have found that almost all teachers respond immediately to parent inquiries. The principal Mrs. Chin-Sin is a lovely person and gifted administrator and is always accessible. In addition my twins are receiving a religious education far superior to that taught in other places. I thank God my husband and I have the resources to afford this school. PS 239 is a great school, the teachers are wonderful and are always willing to help the children as well as to teach the parents how to teach their children. The Parent Coordinator of the school has a great personality and is always willing to help the parent as well as the child; she is a great asset to the school. This school has made me want to be involved 100% even though I'am working the staff is willing to help out. As for my child's progress she is improving with all the help she can get, also when the school senses a child may need extra help they will inform the parent asap so that everyone involved with the child can help.

ps 239 is a beautiful school my son had improve alot am very thankful . am involve in the pta because i want to know whats going on the principal is a beautiful lady am happy my son go to this school and the teacher do a excellent job went i have a question my son teacher is always avaible to answer nay question i have or concerns

Having all my brothers and sisters graduate from OLMM and now having many years to appreciate the service provided I would rate them 5 stars. For those whose children entered A student and became D maybe it was because the previous experience was in public education. What is taught in k thru 8 is fundamental to higher education.I also know that discipline is the beginning of the learning process.

The school is very good. when you compae their test scores to others, it is one of the best. My son started from nursery and now he is in Kindegarden; he loves his teachers. Althought he complaints a lot about them being too strick but I van tell he adores them because he always remind me during Christmas to send a card to all his teachers, from nursery to kindergarden. The teachers are great, they tried very hard to help the kids and teach them. Althoight it is a bit expensive, but my husband and I tried our best to keep sending him with God's blessing.

Where do I begin! As a new parent of a son in kindergarten, i am extremely satisfied. It has been five months into the school year and my son is reading with very little to no help from mom and dad. He is very happy and enjoys the activities the school offers such as piano lessons (extra cost); afterschool services (extra cost) with homework assistance and than watches a movie. Themed events are organized around the seasons with festivities and great energy. Parent involvement is off the charts and encourages traditions that are passed on by generation. The parish is filled with such devotion to the school now celebrating 100 years of quality education. My family and i are proud to be apart of this wonderful school community. I call upon all parents to visit us for open house last week in January, you won't regret this school as an option.

I am a parent of an 8th and 1st grader at RLS , both my children have been there since nursery school. I can't find enough good things to say about the nutring christian environment that I feel confident leaving my children in everyday.

Its a very productive school, and very good but one thing they need to work on is the bad influences. My daughter says there are kids lip-locking in the halls and girls with belly buttons showing and guys with pants around their knees!

Grover Cleveland can provide amazing opportunities for students. The school is a safe place for all students. Since the school requires students to go through metal detectors before entering, everyone feels safer and can be assured that they will not be assaulted with any weapons. When I was attending GC I was enrolled in the math and science program. The school offers many advanced classes and AP courses for students who qualify. Personally, I benefit from all these courses and with the help of D. Scarola (Principal) and Iris Rosario (Guidance counselor) I was able to graduate in 3 years and was accepted to numerous universities. D. Scarola is an amazing principal who does everything in his power to make GC the best it can be. He is an amazing person who has helped me numerous times. I am thankful for everything he has done for me and GC.

This school is definitely one of if not the best school in district 24. Administration are very dedicated to the teachers' needs so that they can provide the best materials for teaching. The teachers are extremely dedicated to bringing out the best in every child so that they perform to their best potential. Parent involvement is highly encouraged. I'm happy that my children attend this school.

This school is fantastic. I was a student here from kindergarden all the way to grade 5. The teachers are super nice and support and care about their students. It was a great elementary experience.

I do not have a comparison with other schools since this is my only experience so far with public schools (my child is in first grade). I cannot express enough my gratitude towards Mr.Pranzo and the entire staff at PS/IS113Q. It is a wonderful environment for children, strict but warm and welcoming, as school should be. My child is happy every day before and after school. The parent-teacher/school communication maintained via email is one of the few things that makes this school outstanding. There are workshops and science fairs, book fairs, trips, afterschool programs, dance programs, a Glee club, gatherings for parents and PTA, overall a great family environment for all of us to grow into. Thank you all!

Im a senior at IS 119 this year and it's a awesome school. All of my teachers are really nice and they push you to try your hardest. All the people who say that this school is bad haven't seen it on the inside. The atmosphere is friendly and the students do not bully each other. Everybody tries their hardest to keep good scores. All the teachers grade based upon the work you do and how well you do it. They also dont give a lot of homework and they scarcely give tests.
