THE TEACHERS ARE OUTSTANDING MRS. FREEMAN THE HEAD OF SCHOOL WAS BORN GIFTED IN BEING ABLE TO FIND THE BEST OF THE BEST TEACHERS. MY DAUGHTER IS SO HAPPY THERE AND I AM SO GRATEFUL THE MILESTONE SCHOOL IS STILL HERE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE YEARS I SPENT THERE AND AM CERTAIN MY DAUGHTER NEVER WILL EITHER.

Columbus is one of the best public schools in Mount Vernon, I would not trade this school with any other schools. My daughter is in 2nd grade and she reads at a the grade level, The teachers are excellent and the principal excellent leader for this school body, I will agree that they need some extra activity for after school, but I think nothing happens before its time.

Our son is in the 1st grade and all I can say is 'I love this school!!!' It's well balanced and loaded with diversity.The teachers that we have been exposed to try really hard to work with the kids. If you are a parent and want to see your child excel Lincoln School is the place. Mr Albano is priceless,and a fighter for his kids. We wanted a Pre-K program to be started there so that our daughter could attend. In september 2010 we will have both our kids there. I'm excited about there growth at Lincoln School. Parent-Pam

Pennington Elementary is a wonderful, diverse, nurturing environment, and they have some of the best teachers I have ever encountered. The children who attend this school are, for the most part, well mannered and friendly, and the parents enjoy being part of the Pennington community and are very much involved. My daughter has enjoyed learning and making lifelong friends there. The PTA also runs an amazing (affordable) afterschool program for all grade levels. The program includes activities like theater, dance, cooking, sewing, sports, and so much more. My daughter has so many wonderful memories there. I love this school and so does my daughter. I am saddened that she will be graduating the 6th grade next year and will have to move on to another school. I am hard pressed to find a school that matches up to Pennington.

This is an outstanding school! People need to pay much attention to schools like Traphagen because the teachers do the best they can to help the students acheive! If the economy is only going to keep a certain number of schools running in the state, this should be one of them. The students are well behaved and disciplined and the teachers here are very helpful and kind.
