Columbus Elementary is a school which exemplifies the very best of what makes America great. It is a place where not only a child's intellectual curiosity is stimulated but where their characters are nurtured and their hearts protected. What Dr. Joseph and his staff continue to do year after year is nothing short of fantastiglorious!!. For a student body which is predominantly English language learners, they continue to exceed expectations when it comes to both the verbal and math state exams. For this last round of testing, New York raised the bar on grading the exams and even with this higher expectation, the school was a shining star. Kudos to a wonderful academic environment and to the principal, Dr, Joseph the assistant principal Ms. Nunez and all of the wonderful teachers and staff that , year after year, continue make this place a true bastion of academic and character building achievement!

Webster is the best. I have a 2nd grader who entered the school two years ago as a shy girl but has since quickly blossomed socially, academically, and artistically. I credit the teachers, staff, and very active PTA for creating a joyful, and intellectual and emotionally safe environment, where students are free to follow their passions are encouraged to discover and share the world around them . I am stuck by the sense community and happiness at the school. It is an extraordinary school and we are proud to be a part of it.

My son has just started school at Barnard and im extremely happy with his teachers. He has learned many new things in the short period that he has been there. I cant wait to see what else he learns during the rest of the school year. He has never been to a daycare nor a babysitter so I thought it would be tough for him to adjust but his teachers are wonderful and made him feel comfortable.

Wonderful resources, teachers who love their jobs and their students, tons of ethnic AND socioeconomic diversity. Absolutely no need to fear the large student body; NRHS splits up students into smaller learning communities... As a senior, I've found that I've had an experience similar to the private school environment (smaller classes, lots of individual attention, etc.) without the limits of the small, mostly upper-class/white private schools that also occupy the New Rochelle area. NRHS allows students to understand the dynamics of the real world and the global community, which is diverse and requires insight from every perspective.

A great neighborhood school for those that like a family-like atmosphere. The teachers and staff take a personal interest in your child while providing them with the academic skills and character values needed to succeed. My daughter truly enjoys going to school!

My son attends this school. The best thing I ever did was enroll him at BSSG. The administrators, teachers and other staff go way above and beyond to be sure that my son receives a quality education, all while enjoying school. Mr. Sullivan (the school's Principal) is the greatest asset that a school could ask for. He's understanding, compassionate and cares for each and every student as if they were his own children.
