My son just recently graduated from St B's in June 2007. He attended since 1st grade. The teachers and support staff are very supportive and caring. He also participated in numerous activities. Besides the wonderful academics( yes he was accepted into all three schools he applied to for high school) , the morales and respect that each of the students are taught and how they live by it , is difficult to describe, you can not learn it anywhere else. The school also has a wonderful family atmosphere and there is no where else you can find such wonderful people. Thanks to all and we miss you Mary C

Early in our children s lives, when it was time to separate, we decided we had to find the perfect environment , one that would essentially replace us. We longed for a school that would respect and rejoice in the wonders of childhood; treat our children with kindness, care and authority; inspire our children and instill a love of learning; support us in our teachings of values: community, peace, integrity and equality. All this and more; and Westbury Friends School has been precisely the place. We wake each day knowing we have made the right choice; knowing our children are in capable loving hands learning, growing, moving forward; knowing this is one decision we will never regret. We don t look forward to the day they graduate 5th grade but realize the foundation they received will take them well into adulthood. And for this we are thankful.

The school is small, half the size of Woodland, the other middle school in the district which is an advantage. The kids and teachers all know each other. Most of the teachers are excellent, enthusiastic, and caring. The administration I feel was more hands-on in the past (the former principal always came to Rec Night, etc) but nonetheless, a very good school.

One of the best HS on the Island! Both of my children attended and loved the experience. We found that the small class size allowed all of the students and teachers to know each other. The learning experience was personalized and my children had access to lots of extra curricular activities not available in other schools. Both of my children are attending Ivy League schools and I would say a large percentage of each of their classes are also attending great universities. Comparing the HS experience here to my sisters children who go to HS in Merrick, and my Brother whose children go to HS in Smithtown, I feel that the education given at Clarke is far better than what their children are getting (and they both agree).

This is a great school. I went here when Mr. McDonald was the principal. It has always had great teachers and a great mix of children. My child currently attends and if he was not in this district to private school he would go!

Park Avenue is a wonderful school. Although the building needs some updates from an exterior point of view, the interior is very inviting, and welcoming. The dual language program that teaches children in both english and spanish is excellent. THe staff is nurturing and caring, while providing an excellent learning environment.

MAP program is challenging providing students with regular assignments during class and varied homework which keeps them active in reading math and comprehension skills during week and moderate weekend assignments.

this is is a good school because they don't tolerate anything that the students do. if you behave bad they deal with you and you cant get away with anything. the teachers are nice but strict at the same time. the teachers are very dedicated in to teaching the students everything in the curriculum.
